This is the text each tuition centre's Acadence site shows to its users. On a centre's site, the centre's registered name and contact details appear where this page says "your tuition centre".
Terms of use
Version 2026-10-27.
In short: these are your centre's rules for its online classroom. Keep your password to yourself, hand in only your own work, and be respectful. Your tutor decides your marks. AI can only suggest them.
This online classroom is run by your tuition centre, your tuition centre ("the centre"). These are the centre's rules for using it. The software, called Acadence, is made and run for the centre by BOOK IN CHAT PTE. LTD. (UEN 202646792Z) ("Acadence"). Your lessons, your marks, your fees and your place at the centre are matters between you (and your parent or guardian) and the centre, under the centre's own enrolment terms. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian agreed to these rules for you when enrolling you; you are asked to read and accept them too.
Your account
- The centre creates your account and gives you a first password. Change it the first time you sign in, to one that is at least 12 characters long and that you do not use anywhere else. Never share it, even with friends in your class.
- Tell your tutor straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
Your work
- Hand in only your own work. Your tutor may ask you to redo work that is not yours.
- Worksheets, marking schemes, model answers and practice questions belong to the centre, Acadence or their owners. Do not share, copy or sell them. Downloaded copies are marked with your details so they can be traced.
Marking
- Your tutor decides every mark on your worksheets. Where the centre uses AI to help, the AI only suggests marks, remarks and tips, and a tutor checks them before you see a result (see the AI marking consent).
- Practice is a self-check tool your centre can switch on. Practice checked by AI is not checked by a tutor, is labelled that way, and never goes into your gradebook (see AI marking of practice).
- AI can be wrong. If you disagree with a mark, ask your tutor to look again at your original work.
Behaviour
- Be respectful in anything you write. Do not try to see other people's work, use someone else's account, or break or overload the site.
Who is responsible
- The centre is responsible for its classes, its tutors, the marks and feedback it gives you, and how it uses this site. Questions or complaints about these go to the centre.
- Acadence has no contract with you. It provides the software to the centre and follows the centre's instructions. To the extent the law allows, Acadence is not responsible to you for any mark, result, feedback, lesson, fee or decision of the centre or its tutors, or for how the centre uses the site. Nothing in these rules takes away rights the law gives you.
The centre may suspend accounts that break these rules. Acadence may also suspend an account or the site for security or legal reasons; the centre will tell you. These rules are governed by Singapore law. Questions: ask your tutor or the centre (your tuition centre's contact email).
