This is the text each tuition centre's Acadence site shows to its users. On a centre's site, the centre's registered name and contact details appear where this page says "your tuition centre".
Help improve Acadence
Version 2026-10-27. This consent is not yet offered in the app. Until it is, it is given only on the paper form your centre keeps.
This is optional and separate from AI marking. It is not needed to use the site or to have your work marked by AI. Your parent or guardian agrees to it for you, on their parent account or on a signed form that your centre records. If you are 18 or older, ask your centre to record your own agreement.
Who is responsible
For this use, BOOK IN CHAT PTE. LTD. (UEN 202646792Z) ("Acadence"), the company that makes this software, is responsible for your data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. Contact its data protection officer at [email protected].
What Acadence may do
- Use copies of your worksheet and practice work, the text the AI read from it, the AI's suggested marks and your tutors' corrections to test, train and improve Acadence's AI marking and its learning materials (for example, practice questions and common mistakes).
- This may include training or fine-tuning AI models that Acadence runs, or that an AI service in the AI marking consent runs for Acadence. Acadence will name any outside AI service it uses for training here before using it, and will not send the work of a student under 13 to any outside AI service for training.
- Your name, username and account details are removed first. Your handwriting stays in the images, so the copies are protected like other personal data.
- Your work is never sold, and is never shown to other students or centres in a way that identifies you.
How long
Acadence keeps these copies for as long as it needs them for this purpose, and no longer than 3 years after it received them.
Changing your mind
Your parent or guardian (or you, if you are 18 or older) can withdraw this at any time on your profile page under Policies and agreements or by writing to [email protected]. Acadence then stops using your work for this purpose and deletes its copies within 30 days. An AI model already trained before you withdrew cannot always be un-trained; Acadence will not use your work to train any new model.
